Job Description

You will shape and execute strategic communications for the NBCUniversal Advertising & Partnerships division across product communications, perspectives & insights, and executive communications & platforms. It translates internal intelligence and innovation into external influence, elevating how the division shows up across the media and advertising landscape.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support communications for NBCUniversal’s advertising technology, platforms, and product innovation
  • Translate complex technical concepts and advancements into press- and client-ready narratives
  • Contribute to proactive media strategies aligned with business priorities
  • Partner with product, technology, marketing, and strategy teams to ensure communications are accurate and relevant
  • Identify and shape data-led perspectives grounded in industry trends, advertiser behavior, and market dynamics
  • Partner with research, measurement, and strategy teams to surface newsworthy insights
  • Translate insights into op-eds, white papers, research-driven press releases, and other external-facing thought leadership
  • Contribute to an editorial calendar aligned with priority themes and industry conversations
  • Maintain high standards for writing and editing across all communications assets
  • Guide speaking engagement participation by vetting inbound requests, pitching session ideas, drafting abstracts, and identifying award and editorial opportunities
  • Prepare executives for public appearances by writing briefing documents, talking points, and social copy
  • Manage event logistics, including staffing red carpets and providing on-site speaker support
  • Support executive media training and preparation tailored to individual leaders and moments
  • Track industry trends and manage a detailed calendar of speaking engagements, events, awards, special issues, and editorial opportunities
  • Support executive digital and social presence through the development of themes and narratives
  • Contribute to content planning for the division’s owned social platforms
  • Support the development and execution of NBCUniversal-owned content formats, including executive podcasts, video series, and salon-style convenings
  • Ensure executive messaging across platforms aligns with business priorities and industry conversations

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of communications experience with at least 3 of those years in the executive communications space (pitching speaking engagements, drafting award submissions, securing research-backed thought leadership opportunities, and prepping/media training senior level executives)
  • Highly collaborative team player with the ability to execute proactive communications strategies, manage multiple workstreams, and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment with little direction.
  • Strong relationships with event programmers and press in the media, advertising, marketing, business, sports, tech and/or financial markets.
  • Familiarity with advertising and media conference circuit (CES, SXSW, NewFront, Upfront, Cannes Lions, Advertising Week)
  • Highly organized individual with experience managing a calendar of events and awards with multiple deadlines and budgets
  • Exceptional writing skills, with experience drafting op-eds, white papers, press releases, speeches, abstracts and award submissions.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with care and professionalism.
  • Proactive team-player with the ability to execute tasks with precision.
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest and ability to integrate AI into workflows
  • NY-Based with ability to travel domestically and internationally; this role may occasionally require extended hours to meet deadlines or support key events.
  • Bachelor’s degree

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $100,000 - $125,000 (bonus eligible)
